The Romance Of Quebec

Paris is surely the most romantic city on earth, yet in Canada’s Quebec (which is both the name of the provincial capital city and the province) you can get a taste of Paris without ever leaving North America.

Here you will find European-style stone architecture, remnants of a long and turbulent history, quaint villages and beautiful countryside – and of course the food and wine, language and people that are uniquely Quebecois…
Montreal and Quebec City are wonderful places to escape for a short break or to visit as part of a longer trip – and you can easily travel between the two by train, coach or car.

Outside of the major cities there is also much to explore – there’s sea-kayaking and whale-watching in the St Lawrence seaway; some wonderful places to cycle, such as in the Eastern Townships or around Lac Saint-Jean; and a train journey around the Gaspé peninsula is one of those trips that will linger in your memory for ever.
