A Float Plane Adventure

A bright yellow float plane is moored by a wilderness dock in British Columbia
The Dehavilland Beaver float plane is sometimes referred to as ‘The Workhorse of the North’ – because it keeps communities all over Canada & Alaska supplied and in touch with the outside world, and it is a bit like a tractor with wings.

Forget busy airports and boring, time-consuming security – float planes are a wonderful way to travel because you just walk down to the nearest bit of water (usually not very far away), and more or less throw your bag on board and away you go - flying low over the water...Real flying...
Float plane trips are included in the journeys below but we can also incorporate them into many other journeys if you wish – and if you have a small group we can even design a ‘float plane safari’ to get you into places you just cannot reach by any other way…
